"And since we all came from a I woman
Got our name from a woman and our game from a woman
I wonder why we take from our women
Why we rape our women, do we hate our women?
I think it’s time to kill for our women
Time to heal our women, be real to our women
And if we don’t we’ll have a race of babies
That will hate the ladies, that make the babies
And since a man can’t make one
He has no right to tell a woman when and where to create one
So will the real men get up
I know you’re fed up ladies, but keep your head up”

It's kind of sad being black growing up today. Being a teenager and going out frequently I notice how I police myself when I'm out, especially living in a white community. Also living with a grandmother who lived down south during the civil rights movement is heartbreaking when you take a step back and see how she's living and making us live, telling me to not draw attention to myself when I'm out it stay reserved at all times, but I am who I am. I'm black and I'll never let them forget it.
